A Visit to Sallys! (March 2010)

Well Done Canada! You guys rocked in the Olympics! =D

I've been pretty slow with the postings lately but I have many posts coming up. I guess I'll start off with my mini haul from Sally Beauty Store yesterday. I always like visiting the store during the beginning of the month since they have monthly sales and I try to get there first. lol

This month's flyer for Canada / USA

I actually wanted to buy the Boutique Lip Crayons/Pencils that are on sale....Two for $4 Cdn. I wanted to get the lip crayons for my mom since she likes their colour selection and the matte/creamy textures. These are chubby lip pencils that applies pretty well but can be drying for some people. You can easily build on the colours too. They don't have many colours that I would like but most of the colours seem to have frost in it and are mostly dark and find them to be more suitable for the fall/winter season. Most colours would be targeted towards women of colour as well. I guess I would describe the texture as very pigmented, creamy matte but with frost. These can be seen as similar to Nars Velvet Matte Pencils but they are not as silky-smooth as the Nars ones of course and the colour selection isn't so great for me either.

Two for $4 Cdn

I got myself Dusk and Rosewood.

I would actually like the colour of Rosewood more.

*ChinaGlaze nailpolishes are also on sale....Two for $8 Cdn which isn't bad at all. Although, it didn't beat the buy 2 get 1 free deal that they had before and it was even better for the beauty club members since each nailpolish was for $4 and so 3 nailpolishes would've been only $8 total. I also noticed that the beauty club member price for ChinaGlaze increased to around $5.50ish. (I can't remember right now)

Some of the Selected Shades from FingerPaint Nailpolishes are on sale for $2.99 Cdn! I grabbed a few. There was actually a good selection of colours so do visit Sallys to see if any colours interest you. I'm assuming these colours are being discontinued. I find this brand to be pretty good and is comparable to ChinaGlaze and Orly.

Scarlet's Paint, Pink Crayon, Studio Ruby-O

Then as I was at the counter just getting ready to pay...I was attracted by the colour of a Sally Baked Mineralize Eyeshadow. It reminded me of the colour of Mac's Cashflow Paintpot and it was cheap..... $1.34 Cdn. It looks pretty cute for the size as well.

Yeah, China Glaze is now $5.49 with card, so 2 for $8 isn't bad. Buy 2 get 1 free would be awesome but we don't know when they are going to do that again lol. Did you notice the US flyer has China Glaze 2 for $10 (not $8)? I thought that was interesting
