Sally Beauty Supply Store LASH Haul!

I love going to Sally Beauty Supply Store. I buy many of my hair products from there. I call it the "Generic Trade Secrets"...lol For the month of February, the Sally Beauty Supply store across North America is having a great discount on Ardell and Andrea lashes. Buy two pairs of lashes/individuals and get a free lash adhesive or remover. I know, I should have posted this earlier but there's a few more days left for this month.

The Canadian and American flyers are different but include most of the same discounts.

I know I love Ardell Wispies but I wanted to try something new..
so I bought these....
Ardell Invisiband in Fairies
Black
Ardell Just for Fun Wild Lash in Fancy
Ardell Lashgrip Adhesive in Dark (Free item)

On top of this discount, I used my Sally Beauty Supply Discount card to get some additional percentage off. This discount varies for each product. The yearly membership fee is $5.00 Cdn. I bought mines about three years ago and each year I'd just pay $5.00 and get it renewed.

(Note: Cdn Prices)
The discount membership price is always printed above the regular price of each price tag.
For example in the image above: Regular $5.59 but with the card it's $4.89

It's always great to use this discount card with items that are on sale.

Also, I love buying ChinaGlaze nailpolishes from Sally's since it's regular $6.49 but with the discount card it's only $4.00. AWESOME! I don't know why the discount percentages vary differently for each product. =S

I LOVE PINK FISH!

PINK FISH
TINTED LIP CONDITIONER SPF 15
MAC'S HELLO KITTY COLLECTION

A REVIEW

I had to go to the mall with my aunt today and we both ended up going to Mac. YAY!

I didn't really have any plans on buying anything but I was reading good reviews on Hello Kitty's Pink Fish Tinted Lip Conditioner and my good buddy Sanam suggested it.... so I bought that one. I also got Shy Girl Cremesheen lipstick (yes, another nude).

At the store, I tried on the lip conditioner with a lipbrush wand since using fingers would be messy. I was stunned by the pigmentation of this lip conditoner. Since, I do have pigmented lips, I can't just use my fingers and put a thin layer then the colour won't show up that easily. It was suggested that you use a lipbrush and have almost the same amount as one lipgloss application on it.

It smelled SO GOOD too. DELICIOUS! OMG! It was AMAZING! It almost looked liked I had lipstick on. In the past, I tried many tinted lip conditioners and they rarely showed any colour but this one was truly special. It felt very moisturizing (with SPF 15, we need the protection) and had a nude pink subtle sheen to it. I would say the consistency is "just like butter"......so CREAMY!

The packaging is SUPER CUTE! I know everybody will agree with me on this. NO DOUBT! I even love the box it came in with. Of course, I'll be keeping that too.

Again, the only drawback is the pot form (can be messy) but you can always carry a retractable lipbrush. If I "ever" get to finish this product, I would definitely purchase it again.

If you want just ONE product from the Hello Kitty collection then this is THE ONE!
It provides more pigmentation than the lipglosses and some may prefer it over the lipsticks too.

Also...some other swatches...

My LiL' Hello Kitty Haul! :)

I was at the mall yesterday (Tues) at around 8:30ish and walked by Mac and saw that they already had the new Hello Kitty collection out. I grabbed 2 items...I thought that would be it for me. :S

Then I went out again downtown with my gorgeous BBF Joolee. http://kaliyansblogspot.blogspot.com/
She does amazing looks but she doesn't really do much YT make-up tutorials/hauls videos. Since we always go shopping together, we practically get many of the same things! YAY!

So today I was totally a victim of "peer pressure." LOL Yes...she was the one who "emphasized" that the eyeshadow palettes were limited edition and they don't have all the colours in the permanent line (Which is so true!). She was actually talking about the "Too Dolly" palette (one with the pink eyeshadow). The other palette didn't attract us as much. The lipglosses were sheer just like Creamsheen to me. I already had two so I didn't bother getting anymore. My favourite would have been "Mimmy" lipgloss but I have similar shades too. Also, you cannot wear these lipglosses alone on top of my kind of pigmented lips. These are meant to be worn over lipsticks. I didn't bother with the two blushes either since I have many similar shades.

Here is my LIL' HELLO KITTY HAUL!

Cute-ster Lipstick : (Lustre) Peachy pink pearly neutral colour. I really wanted Marquise D' lipstick from the BBR collection but I went too late and all were sold out and I didn't feel like buying anything online either. :( So this made up for it! YAY! This also reminds me of Viva Glam V lipstick. Although, I'm not a big fan of so sheer - lustre lipsticks...I make exceptions for particular lipsticks. I also prefer Lavender Whip lipstick over Fashion Mews. It has much more colour. Again, I bought this mainly for the packaging.

Gosh...I'm loving neutral lustre lipsticks these days.....

Tahitian Sand Beauty Powder: Soft Coral Peachy Powder. I can't use this as a blush since it doesn't have much colour payoff but more of a blending powder during contour/blush/highlight. The MA actually just put it all over my face and set I can easily use this to set my foundation too. Of course, I mainly got it for the cute packaging!

YES!....I got the...

Too Dolly Eyeshadow Palette
I applied this on without any primer and the flash took away the colour too! :(
These colours are really unique and since the palettes are limited edition, I had to grab one! :)

I got Mac pigment samples again. Milk pigment is from the Hello Kitty collection. Deep Blue Green pigment is actually from the permanent line. I also got Reflects Pink glitter, but it's lost somewhere. lol

I really wanted that lil Hello Kitty dollie but it's too pricey...lol I'd rather go to Chinatown and get a real Hello Kitty doll (the real white one...not the evil looking black Mac one...JK) ...but then again many would disagree and say this is different....It's MAC!

Also, I would love to get that brush holder. It's so cute! I didn't like the three brushes in it. I was looking at all three and they look very different from the original 187, 239 and 109. Obviously none of them were dense enough. The 239 was so big and fluffy, while the original one is thinner and silky smooth. The 109 brush didn't even look like the original one. It wasn't dense at all. I can't imagine using it for foundation application...it would be horrible!

Now, I shall calmly wait for the Grand Duo blush/msfs!!! :D

Yesterday's Haul and Creamteam Lip Swatches!

WHOA...ANOTHER HAUL!!

Nars Laguna Bronzer: This wasn't muddy on me. It's really about blending it out well. You can add some golden shimmer on top too. Mac bronzers are also good....ex. Refined Gold

Mac's 226 Crease Brush. This was sold out at many stores.

The generous MA at Mac pro gave me Silver Fog and Deep Purple Mac pigment samples.
He's the best!!! :)

Cobalt and Vibrant Grape Pro Eyeshadows!

The Swatches! :)

This is a staple of mines...Mac MSF Skinfinish Duo in Medium Dark! :) I love the shimmer side especially to get that golden glow.

I'm almost done my Select Spf liquid foundation so this was the best time to try out this new one out...Studio Sculpt Spf 15. I didn't wear it yet. I tested it on my hands and it has a gel type creamy consistency. It seems less yellow than the normal Studio Fix NC 42 and not as thick either. I heard this has medium texture and is buildable for heavier coverage if needed. It doesn't oxidize either and not too good for oily skin. So let's see how this works out for me.....

Mac's Angel lipstick was recomended to me by my friend. I was never a fan of frosty lipsticks but I was stunned by this one. It's a beautiful soft pink nude. I thought it would look weird or be too sheer on me or have this weird silverish frost to it. I hate silver reflected kind of lipsticks.

I always thought slimshines would never show up on my lips. I was surprised when I tried these out. I absolutely love Bare slimshine lipstick! It's like a light neutral pink with subtle gold pearl. It's isn't too sheer and gives this nice wet look with enough colour. Missy slimshine is gorgeous too! It's this beautiful creamy coral colour. One of my favourite coral lippies now. If you missed out on Heatherette's Sock Hop lipgloss, this would be a great alternative. Ultra Elegant slimshine is a toned down version.

This is Lavender Whip Creamsheen lipstick. Another pretty colour! It goes on very creamy and you can build the colour too. I thought I would never wear this kind of colour but this lavender shade is just too gorgeous! My store only had four left! WHOA! PRETTY DEMANDED EH!

I got these with Back 2 Mac. I had 12 empties so I got to choose two items. Either a lipgloss, lipstick or eyeshadow. I decided to make it worth it and so I took advantage and chose these since these were the most in value.

These are pretty sheer and I don't think it's really worth $21.50. It would be better just getting a normal Mac lipgloss. Even Dazzleglasses are much better than the Creamsheens Glasses.

I got Petite Indulgence. It was the one that had the most colour payoff on my lips and it had no shimmer, which is nice too. I got Melt In Your Mouth just to put on top of lipsticks for a tint/glaze.

NOW THE LIP SWATCHES!

The Mac MA gave me and my friend this as we were leaving....aww...so sweet of him! We didn't even go to the Pre Launch Event and still got ourselves a goodie! :)
