Quick Eyes of the Day : Photo Realism Eyeshadow Quad

It is SOOOOO DAMN HOT in Toronto right now. The weather was pretty good in the past 2 months and I didn't mind it at all...I loved it!......then the REAL SUMMER WEATHER hit us BAD! It's been like this for over 2 weeks now and I'm getting tired of the heat! Especially with the humidity it's like 40 degrees celsius (104 F)....practically boiling in a cauldron....lol I'm anxiously waiting for rain but no luck.....

I don't even bother with much makeup in this weather...I can just feel it melting off....it's a gross feeling and my skin gets worse too....however, I managed to do an Eye of the Day look with the new Photo Realism Eyeshadow Quad....(requested by jennylevi).... I know there has been some rant on this quad on how it is dull on olive/darker skintones. This is actually true. When you wear the colours by itself with a neutral base...it will definitely seem dull so I decided to use a black base when using this quad. It actually improves the appearance of the colour and appears more vibrant and has a blue-ish tint to it. I actually find the quad to be dupable if you're using it on a black base....you can easily dupe Fresh Approach eyeshadow (light minty green) with Mood Ring, Warm Chill and Aquavert to achieve similar colours.

Swatch Comparisons
Fresh Approach, Mood Ring, Warm Chill, Steamy, Gulf Stream, Parrot, Talent Pool

Excuse the greasy looking pics....lol another reason why I never bothered doing a FOTD
I took these pics after a few hours in the heat. :(

What I Used:
*The dupes mentioned are not exactly alike but similar enough to achieve this sort of look*
Urban Decay Primer Potion (Eye Primer)
Applied Black Base to entire lid: NYX Black Bean Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil
Mac Photo Realism Quad
Photo Realism Eyeshadow (Highlight) - Inner Eye Corner/Highlight
{Dupe with Solar White e/s, Vanilla pigment}
Fresh Approach Eyeshadow (Light Minty Green) - Center of Lid
{Dupe with Mood Ring, Aquavert, Warmchill e/s)
Image Maker Eyeshadow (Grey-Green) - Outer Lid/Crease
{Dupe with Print e/s or any dark grey-green shade)
Grey Range Eyeshadow (Dark Blue-Green) - Darken Crease/Bottom Lashline
{Dupe with Deep Blue Green pigment}
Carbon Eyeshadow (Black) - Outer-V/Darken Crease

Mac Black Track Fluidline - Eyeliner
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil - Zero (Black)
Maybelline Clear Gel Mascara - To Attach False Lashes
Maybelline Define A Lash Mascara - Bottom Lashes
Quo 804 Lashes - Exact DUPES for Mac's # 7 Lashes!
I used scotch tape to make sharp edges too.

Zerin the eyes are hot as usual :) Now I'm thinking maybe I should skip this quad. I usually wear greens and grays well but I think now that I have colours that are similar enough to these

Soo gorgeous! I love your eyebrows! I never thought of using a black eye pencil for a base a very useful tip there I might try that:)

What a beautiful look. When I was reading this and you said you suggested using a black base underneath, I thought this look would be dark, but when I scrolled down and saw this picture's, it's not, so pretty!

Thank you ladiez!

Diana - It's been a long time since I did an actual tutorial video. I was busy with school for sometime and then I wasn't really that motivated enough to make tutorials...lol I would say I kinda lost my MOJO or something...I don't have such a good camera either for tutorials...I guess I might try to do one later on....it's been so long that I'm RUSTY! lol
